You can easily purchase the replaceable filter from online stores or to use the anti-static paper mentioned under the Roomba Tips section. Besides that, you may need to change the side brush and its battery after more than 1 year of usage.

3) What is the best way to get a Roomba at a good price?

The best way is to purchase Roomba from online stores. However, note that some online stores do not accept non-US credit cards and also almost all online stores do not deliver Roomba out of US as its warranty will be void. Thus, if you really wish to purchase a cheap Roomba minus the 1 year warranty, you may like to get it from the online stores that accept non-US credit cards.

If you are thinking of buying directly from your local distributor, you have to think twice as the price of Roomba is likely to be around twice the selling price even though the sales package is very similar except that the power adapter support 220/240V voltage instead of the US version which support 110V only.
