Scooba 5900 - The world's first floor washing robot!

iRobot has also launched the world's first floor washing robot. It is named as "Scooba". It is able to prep the floor, vacuum in the dirt together with the cleaning liquid thus making it a good potential replacement for your mop at home!

Normally, when you mop your floor do you actually think about the dirty water that was being re-used to "clean" up the other dirty area?

There is one fascinating feature on Scooba 5900. The water outlet that is labeled "Dirty". Why? Cause you will be simply amazed by seeing how efficient Scooba is when sucking back the dirty water.

There is also another water inlet which is labeled as "Clean". All you have to do is to pour in some Scooba juice(aka Scooba Clorox)using the provided measuring cup and mix it with some water and there you have it - the powerful floor cleaning agent for Scooba!

If you want to know some tips on saving money using Scooba, do remember to visit the Roomba tips page! I had spent some time researching on finding the Scooba Cholox alternatives which cost much cheaper and most importantly, it works better!

    Reviews

From the first glance of Scooba 5900, it will reminds you of its famous cousin - Roomba. Besides the look, the functional aspect of Scooba 5900 bears no resemblance to Roomba at all.

    Workability

Each fully charged battery can last more than 1 round of washing. Each round consists of fully topped up diluted washing liquid. The effectiveness of Scooba can easily be warranted by checking out the grayish dirty water that was poured out after the one round of washing has finished.

One main difference between Scooba and Roomba is that it is unable to cross over small barriers. Scooba can only be used on relatively small room area, for exp the size of a normal sized kitchen area.

When Scooba has been tasked to wash a bigger area, it tends to be unable to go back the same area twice and sometimes will leave water marks on your floor.

The Scooba 5900 package also comes with a virtual wall. This virtual wall helps you to condone the area that you want Scooba to clean. Absolutely painless way to let your robot mops the floor for you.

    Caveats

Scooba 5900 does not have a side brush. That means those hard rich corners of yours will not be cleaned by Scooba.

It does not comes with a remote control. However, it is able to support remote control features via Roomba remote control too!

    Conclusion

Judging by being the world's first floor washing robot, it certainly has achieved quite a feat by able to clean the floor thoroughly without having to go through the tough job of squeezing dry the mop and risk breaking your back when trying to mop those low lying area.
